Former Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) had nothing but contempt for Republican leadership, following the latest schedule announcements.
Particularly, Greene took issue with an announcement from House Majority Whip Tom Emmer (R-MN) that "votes are not expected in the House during the weeks of September 21st and September 28th."
"They go back to work for about 4 days before midterms. Pathetic," wrote Greene on X. "I regret nothing."
Greene, a far-right lawmaker first elected in 2020 and at one time banned from committee assignments due to her promotion of social media posts calling for executing Democrats, was an ally of President Donald Trump through most of her time in office.
However, towards the end, she became disillusioned with the MAGA movement, arguing that it had gone astray from principles that truly are "America First."
She has also picked fights with some close members of Trump's orbit, including far-right influencer Laura Loomer, whom she sees as an unapologetic racist — and has criticized the GOP as a whole for being too supportive of Israel.
