Former MAGA loyalist claims Trump 'rigged election' against Epstein files foe

Former Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) accused President Donald Trump of rigging the election against Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) — using the same "stolen election" language Trump deployed for years to dispute his own 2020 loss.

Speaking with conspiracy theorist Alex Jones on The Alex Jones Network on Thursday, Greene unloaded on Trump after Massie's Tuesday night defeat in the most expensive House primary in American history.

"It took this election — or we'll call it a stolen election, a rigged election — for Thomas Massie to really expose it," Greene said.

"What people need to analyze is: why is Donald Trump — why did he fight Thomas Massie harder than he's ever fought any Democrat?"

The Kentucky congressman lost to Trump-backed former Navy SEAL Ed Gallrein after a staggering $32.6 million in ad spending flooded the deep-red district. Pro-Israel groups, including AIPAC, poured more than $15.8 million into ousting Massie, who opposed Trump's June 2025 attack on Iran. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth even traveled to the district to campaign against Massie — despite a federal law barring sitting Cabinet officials from political activity in their official capacity.

Massie had become Trump's top GOP target after co-sponsoring the Epstein Files Transparency Act with Rep. Ro Khanna (D-CA), voting against the One Big Beautiful Bill, and opposing the Iran war.

Greene argued Massie was punished for the very independence Trump claims to champion.

"Most of the Republicans in Congress, they hate Thomas Massie. They're jealous of Thomas Massie because Thomas actually delivers — every single thing that they lie and promise on the campaign trail and never deliver," Greene said. "He comes after me and Thomas Massie and now Lauren Boebert. Did you see Donald Trump go after any of the Democrats that came after him? No. You see him coming after Republicans that truly embody America First."

Greene told Jones the "change happened when President Trump realized he's untouchable."

"That opens the door wide for every inhibition that you have inside of you, whether good or evil, Alex. We're seeing the dark side come out that we never thought we would see. This is not the Donald Trump that I supported. I can hardly recognize this man."

She added a darker warning about what comes next.

"My greatest fear is that Donald Trump will turn to war," she said. "That's how he maintains control. That's how he keeps a grasp on power."
