Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) and journalist Mehdi Hasan traded accusations of bigotry, dishonesty, and drunkenness during a chaotic debate on “Piers Morgan Uncensored.”

During the Thursday segment, Mace accused Hasan of being “jihad-adjacent” and questioned whether he respected women before Hasan confronted her over remarks she has made about Muslim Americans.

“You’re not just bigoted, you’re mad,” Hasan said. “You personally attacked me from the moment this began. You said I was jihad-adjacent at the beginning of the show.”

Hasan, a former MSNBC host, then cited allegations from Mace’s former staffers about her alcohol use.

“I said, ‘Were you drunk when you posted an AI video?'” Hasan said. “Your staffers say you sent them to buy you alcohol at 2 o’clock in the morning.”

“I do not get drunk, Mehdi,” Mace fired back. “And that’s disgusting. You just accused me of being an alcoholic.”

Hasan responded that the allegation came from Mace’s own former communications director.

“Her name is Natalie Johnson,” he said. “She says that you drank so much she’d have interns and junior staff run to Congressional Liquor during the workday so she could imbibe during town halls.”

Mace denied the allegation, repeatedly calling it “not true.” The South Carolina Republican then accused Hasan of launching a “disgusting attack on a woman,” but Hasan quickly flipped it back to Mace.

“You called for people like me, my wife and my kids to be attacked," he said. So please clutch your pearls somewhere else."

Morgan repeatedly attempted to regain control of the segment as the pair continued talking over each other.
