Police: Georgia man Skyped rape of boy and molested a dog
A Georgia man was arrested last week after police alleged that he had sex with a boy and a dog, and videotaped the encounters to share online.
According to the Effingham Herald, 19-year-old Brandon Fanning was charged on Thursday with aggravated child molestation, child molestation and sexual exploitation of a child after an investigation by the Effingham County Sheriff’s Office Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
"The investigation revealed that Fanning had been molesting an underage boy and possessed videos of the sexual acts between him and the victim, which he was sharing," Effingham County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Detective David Ehsanipoor explained.
WTOC reported that the Department of Homeland Security had assisted in the investigation because Fanning was accused of broadcasting his sexual encounters over Skype Internet video chat and sending videos across state lines.
Investigators said that they also found videos of Fanning engaged in sexual acts with a dog.
"Some of the details we have seen on these videos we couldn't even try to explain on television," Ehsanipoor told WTOC. "It's one of those disgusting situations and we wouldn't be able to believe anyone would try to do something like that."
Fanning was denied bail at a hearing on Friday. More charges were pending, but it was not immediately clear if they were related to the same case.
