Sigourney Weaver revived her iconic ‘Aliens’ role for Samantha Bee’s ‘Not the White House Correspondents Dinner’ special
Actress Sigourney Weaver revived her iconic "Aliens" character Ellen Ripley for Samantha Bee's "Not the White House Correspondent's Association Dinner" on Saturday.
The skit imagined journalists living in space to avoid covering the 2020 presidential election.
"This is a dispatch from space," the screen read. "The political divide has made living on earth insufferable. Some humans have chosen to GTFO. The date ... is April 27, 2019."
"I can't do it, I can't cover another presidential election," Bee says. "There are too many candidates, eighteen, nineteen ... thirty."
"Nate Silver is going to f*ck us again," she warned.
There were special appearances from Ali Velshi, Rebecca Traister and Katie Couric.
