Political analysts piled on a MAGA lawmaker on Sunday after he issued a bizarre warning about the upcoming 4th of July holiday.

Rep. Randy Fine (R-FL), who is widely considered one of the most controversial members of Congress, wrote in a new post on X that the upcoming 4th of July "might be [the] last" in American history, depending on how the 2026 midterm elections go. Fine also suggested that Democrats would somehow detract from the holiday if they were to take back power after the midterms.

"We can't let communists win," Fine wrote.

Political analysts reacted to Fine's comments, some of whom pointed out the glaring irony behind his fearmongering.

"So Randy, I guess this means you believe America will no longer be a free nation under Donald Trump, since he's president for another 2 years," Ed Krassenstein, a Democratic political commentator, posted on X.

"Democrats aren't Dumocrats, and they aren't communists, you dumb bunny," Stephen King, legendary author and political critic, posted on X.

"Dumocrats" refers to a new slur Trump has come up with to describe Democrats.

"Randy thinks the only thing that makes America a democracy is unlimited funds to Netanyahu," Christopher Hale, a former Obama White House aide, posted on X.

"This is performative bulls---," Rich Baris, director of Big Data Poll, posted on X. "Randy Fine was a member of THIS Congress, which, along with the White House, was briefed on Israel's declining popularity on both sides and the likelihood of ceding control to Democrats if Trump started the Iran War. He CHOSE to put Israel First."
