The White House "welcomed" a bunch of hand-selected "journalists" — MAGA influencers — more than a year ago, and they quickly spread across the country to create misleading videos to distract from the Epstein Files.
Soon after the photo below was shared by everyone in it, they began their hate campaign in sanctuary cities like Minneapolis, Chicago, and Portland (where I live).
We’ll get back to Cam Higby in a moment, but others in that photo include Nick “Baby Teeth” Shirley, who was sent to Minneapolis to find “fraud” at day care centers owned by members of the local Somalian community. His “findings” (which were fraudulent) led to a massive deployment of ICE goons, which resulted in the shooting deaths of Renee Good and Alex Pretti.
Also pictured is Nick Sortor, who was arrested here in Portland for aggravated assault after a physical altercation with locals protesting at an ICE facility. Unfortunately, the Multnomah County DA’s office declined to press formal charges against Sortor, who can’t return to his home state of Kentucky thanks to an outstanding arrest warrant. I’m not sure why Gov. Andy Beshear hasn’t demanded Sortor be extradited and jailed — that should have already happened.
Infamous Russian shill Benny Johnson traveled with then-DHS Secretary Kristi Noem to various cities, including Portland, to justify the deployment of National Guard troops and ICE agents while using American streets as “military testing grounds.”
A guy in a chicken suit ran them out of my town, and it was glorious.
But Trump’s reign of terror — what locals wryly dubbed “The Siege of Portland” as we protested with peace and whimsy — only got more violent after the White House recruited local Trump supporters. Buses were sent to the Portland suburbs to bring them down to the ICE facility on the waterfront, just to make it look like there was far more violence in what had been a mostly quiet residential neighborhood that’s also adjacent to a school and hospitals and medical facilities.

As reported by The Oregonian, the MAGA agitators brought bear spray and tear gas, constantly filling the air with chemicals that impacted the residents of the low-income housing units located diagonally across the street from the facility. Emergency visits to OHSU’s Doernbecher Children’s Hospital increased during the protests, while MAGA agitators disrupted local businesses and even went as far as to knock on residents’ doors to create videos about the “violence” that they were causing.
Cam Higby is no different from those agitators. It’s just his turn to be in the news because he and fellow MAGA shill, James O’Keefe (of the egregiously misnamed Project Veritas), have been charged with felonies in Minneapolis over their fraudulent attempts to vote in Minnesota’s primary election. “SCAM” and “O’KKKeefe” (nicknames: mine) are accused of disguising themselves in what they called “Muslim garb” and claiming they were “local voters.”
Seems like a really dumb thing for two white guys to do, but no one has ever accused a Trump supporter of being a political mastermind. Reports indicate they made multiple attempts at various polling places in Minnesota — a state Trump lost in 2016, 2020, and 2024 — during its August primary. They claimed it was “an attempt to show vulnerabilities” in the practice of “vouching,” when a registered voter from the same precinct can vouch for another voter’s eligibility.
Vouching is a rarely used and complicated system; voters still need other ways to verify their identities, and anyone vouching for them must sign an affidavit under penalty of perjury stating they personally know the voter they are vouching for. The affidavits are “a safeguard of the vouching system,” according to Hennepin County DA Mary Moriarity, who brought the charges against the two MAGA scammers.
According to state law, a voter can vouch for up to eight others, but neither O’Keefe nor Higby presented these affidavits or obtained any ballots. And if they had signed those affidavits, it would have been perjury. Just a couple of minor details SCAM keeps leaving out of his posts.
That tactic is totally on brand for a pair of MAGA shills. Both have been charged with unlawful voting and identity theft, federal crimes that come with hefty prison sentences. And both are crying on social media about how Democrats are responsible, and it’s so unfair that they have to face any legal consequences for committing federal crimes.
Cam is a journalist in the same way that I’m seven feet tall.
He outed himself and O’Keefe with this video that he posted in August, and even he doesn’t understand why they weren’t arrested back then. But better late than never when it comes to MAGA consequences; that’s my motto.
The question is, will those charges stick? Higby might be putting on the MAGA False Bravado act while being terrified behind the scenes, but maybe he also thinks he’s untouchable because someone on Trump's staff will get the charges dropped. It’s a uniquely singular kind of entitlement, one that oozes from guys like Higby, O’Keefe, and the NicKKKs Shirley and Sortor. They’re just modeling the behavior they’ve seen from Trump and his cronies, all of them entitled rich white frat boys who have gotten incredibly comfortable displaying their racism and misogyny.
It’s all part of Trump’s attempt to interfere with the midterms, as his fears of losing his MAGA Majority in Congress are becoming a reality. Early voting has already begun, with exit polls heavily favoring Democrats in Red states that haven’t elected Democrats in decades. Trump is literally threatening to sue if Republicans lose, which is insanity.
I’ve said all along that the traitorous MAGA shills will be the next ones to go to prison for Trump, because he has no loyalty to anyone but himself. These two need to be the first ones to go down hard enough to scare the rest, because people are tired of watching all of them seemingly get away with everything.
