Smirking Trump's slip into honesty may have doomed the longest con in American history

This week, the MAGA propaganda machine is going at ludicrous speed thanks to Donald Trump’s incendiary comments about the Iran War (which he promised wouldn’t happen during his 2024 campaign, but why should that matter to MAGA?) at a poorly attended campaign rally in Nebraska.

During his long bloviating rant, Trump stated that allowing Iran to "take out" Los Angeles and San Diego would be a "small price to pay" to keep the country safe as a whole.

And the MAGA crowd cheered — even though they had no idea what it was they were cheering for.

They’re all denying it now, of course. “That’s not what he said,” the MAGA trolls are tweeting.

Except it was. It was an honest statement of what he thinks.

Here’s the moment, which was broadcast live on television and isn’t AI or edited, because it happened in front of a crowd of people and it was all CAPTURED LIVE.

If you watch that and decide he said something other than what he said, you’re in the MAGA cult.

This comes just days after a profanity-laden rant at an Ohio rally where Trump said that not only will Republicans “win big” in the midterms, but they’ll “shove it up their a--.” Meaning, the Democrats, whom he also called “a bunch of dumb SOBs.”

And not for the first time, either.

But it doesn’t matter to the MAGA cult.

Oh, Republicans will say, he was just joking. He didn’t mean it. Or, “What he meant to say was…”

Nobody needs an interpreter or a Trump-to-English dictionary, traitors. He meant what he said, and he said what he meant, because Trump hates America 100%.

He always means what he says, no matter what anyone else says about the things he says. Overcompensation has been Trump’s default setting his entire life, and his jealousy of others, from his Democratic predecessors to the military to anyone who’s more publicly beloved, comes out in the most obvious ways.

The media certainly hasn’t helped, either. The “sane-washing” of Trump that began 11 years ago created a slippery slope that no truths can cling to. He’s always accused his enemies of being everything he is while constantly repeating lies until too many people believed them, Russian Propaganda 101.

Trump also learned how to take the inches he was given and turn them into an 11-year reign of terror. The pattern he established in 2015 to test the public waters goes like this:

First, he says something insane to gauge the reaction. “I shouldn’t say this, but I’ll say it,” he’ll say. Then he gets cheers instead of fact checks, so he keeps pushing. If it’s somehow unpopular or he receives any pushback, he’ll lie to cover the lie and keep going instead of admitting he was wrong.

What began with “Mexico isn’t sending their best” led to “Russia, if you’re listening” (which they very much were), to the infamous Access Hollywood tape, which was leaked 10 years ago this week.

When the world heard him bragging about grabbing women by the “p---y” and how they “just let him do it” because he’s famous, it should’ve ended his chances at the presidency. But he had already compromised the Republican Party with Russian blackmail by that point; they were constantly justifying everything about him, from his three marriages, his philandering with adult film stars, his bankruptcies, and more. If they turned on him then, he would’ve taken his knowledge to the press and said that what he did was nothing compared to what, say, Lindsey Graham or Ted Cruz did.

So they decided they had no choice but to circle the wagons and excuse his horrific predatory language by saying it was just a “boys will be boys” moment of “locker room talk” about something that had happened before he became the GOP’s nominee.

And they’ve been covering for Trump ever since, working overtime to constantly “interpret” his threats and lies. Instead of walking away from him after he left the White House in 2021— with thousands of stolen Top Secret documents already hidden away at Mar-A-Lago. They’ve only burrowed themselves deeper into his alimentary canal instead of letting the truth set them free.

Trump is never joking about anything, because he has no sense of humor, especially about himself. He doesn’t laugh, and his “smiles” are actually self-satisfied smirks. Trump has been pulling off the longest con in American history, and he knows it. Even when it’s something meaningless and petty, he means it. Remember when he casually said that “maybe” he’d rename the Gulf of Mexico, and then he just did it? And then he threatened the press if they didn’t also call it the Gulf of Mexico, which is why he kicked the Associated Press out of the White House.

And MAGA cheered.

Trump doesn’t want anyone reporting the truth about anything bad he says or does, which is everything he does. But he should never get a pass when he threatens two former Presidents and a former First Lady, which he also did this week.

"I could have done very bad things to Hillary Clinton," he said from the Oval Office. "I could've done very bad things to Joe Biden. I could've done very bad things to Barack Hussein Obama. ... I can do whatever I want, if I want."

For the record, Trump really can’t do whatever he wants, and yet he keeps getting away with everything he says. And everything he says is a distraction from the biggest political scandal in American history — Epstein.

Many Democrats are now calling for the 25th Amendment, but Trump-owned Republicans aren’t going to support it. The only solution is to steamroll the GOP in the midterms (yes, your vote counts, and please put your mail-in ballot in a DROP BOX instead of a MAILBOX, just in case) and then push for Democrats to follow the framework of Article II, Section 4 of the Constitution.

The Founders provided a way out of what would’ve been an unimaginable situation, but that we’re now living in. It’s the only way to cleanse our government of the traitors who bent the knee to Trump instead of standing up for America.

"The President, Vice President and all civil officers of the United States shall be removed from office on impeachment for, and conviction of, treason, bribery, and other high crimes and misdemeanors," says Article II, Section 4 of the U.S. Constitution.
