Don’t you miss decency from our politicians?
I know I do. There was a time when we didn’t cringe every time the president went out in public.
Now, we collectively brace ourselves every time someone puts a microphone in front of Donald Trump, who has made it abundantly and repeatedly clear that he couldn’t care less about anyone except himself.
Trump once again showed his tiny hand on the global stage, telling everyone how he doesn’t think about anyone else’s financial struggles, because he’s a monster.
“I don't think about anybody. I think about one thing. We cannot let Iran have a nuclear weapon. That's all."
That’s not the one thing he thinks about. All he thinks about is HIMSELF.
Everything about him projects laziness based on his lack of focus as a result of his obvious mental decline. He has no interest in reading the daily White House briefings. He dozes off during press briefings in the Oval Office as soon as other people start talking. He changes the subject to his stupid Epstein Bunker Ballroom whenever he’s asked a question about policies he’s incapable of explaining (because he doesn’t read his daily briefings).
It’s not enough for Trump to be a selfish, greedy, narcissistic, ignorant ingrate. He also needs to belittle anyone who dares to challenge the narrow narrative he’s been allowed to create thanks to the media’s normalization of him over the last 11 years. It’s gotten so routine that they don’t even bother to stand up for each other when he does it.
But he doesn’t just insult the media, of course. No one is spared from this, as anyone he’s ever fired can tell you. Even his most loyal and subservient of sycophantic suck-ups will be targeted if they dare say anything truthful about Dear Leader, and that includes the MAGA Morons of the Red Hat Death Squad cult.
Trump insulted his own base when they dared question him about releasing the Epstein Files, which he had promised them he’d do if he won the 2024 election. Weird how MAGA forgot about him calling them “stupid” and “gullible weaklings” for not letting him lie to them
Imagine if they had a shred of self-respect or any interest in thinking for themselves. However, we’ve really passed the Rubicon when it comes to hoping the remaining MAGA cultists will ever hold Dear Leader responsible for ruining everything, all because he’s in the Epstein Files.
But he isn’t thinking about the Epstein Survivors' testimony. He’s thinking about different ways to distract MAGA from that so he can keep grifting them, because he doesn’t care about them.
He isn’t thinking about how MAGA lost a collective $59 MILLION after they prepaid for Trump Phones that they’ll never receive. He’s just thinking about how he’s $59 million richer.
He isn’t thinking about the rising costs of groceries, gas, and healthcare. He’s thinking about the bunker he’s building under the Epstein Ballroom because he never wants to leave the White House while he’s still alive.
He isn’t thinking about the upcoming 250th anniversary of our country as anything other than another way to grift MAGA and turn the White House lawn into a UFC cagematch.
He isn’t thinking about cutting programs that keep the country prospering. He’s thinking about pleasing Putin and Netanyahu while they carry out their plan to flatten Gaza and turn it into the Atlantic City of the Middle East.
He isn’t thinking about how many innocent children have died in the Iranian bombings or the American servicepeople who’ve lost their lives for no reason. He’s thinking about how much richer he and his two Large Older Adult Sons are now that he’s manufactured a war with Iran as yet another weak distraction from the Epstein Files.
How’s that for infuriating? And yet, it hasn’t made a blip out there in the mainstream media, weird!
Trump is currently in China to *checks notes* pledge fealty to yet another foreign dictator instead of making America his priority. How many more Chinese patents and trademarks will the Trump family get on this trip?
If it’s decency you’re craving, I’m here to help. Just try not to cry when the glaring differences hit you right in the feels.
Barack Obama traveled to Texas to hang out with the latest Democratic rising star, James Talarico. I might personally want Jasmine Crockett in the Senate because we haven’t had enough Black women senators, but it’s also just nice to see a couple of good men representing the party while hitting up a local taco joint in Talarico’s hometown.
That’s how a President behaves with the public, particularly around children. It’s such a glaringly painful reminder of what we had not too long ago. Now we have a demented diaper-wearing, fraudulent convicted felon adjudicated rapist Epstein Bestie telling kids about transgender power lifters.
If MAGA is never going to hold him accountable, then it’s up to the rest of us to show them what they’re letting him do to them. Because when you’re famous, people just let you do whatever you want, even grab them by the bank account.
None of this is normal. None of it should be tolerated. The person occupying the Oval Office shouldn’t be bullying, belittling, and bankrupting the American people.
I don’t know how to make MAGA care that Trump doesn’t care about them, but I’ll still keep trying.
