'Trump is old': Critics say ex-president's comment at rally shows how 'out of touch' he is
Donald Trump on Sunday said something that his critics say shows how "out of touch" the ex-president is.
Trump over the weekend headlined a rally in Arizona, where he made numerous verbal slip-ups that were ridiculed by various online observers. Fox News even cut away from the former president's rally.
Trump also made one particular comment that stuck out to those who say Trump is too old to be president.

"You know, the TiVo or its equivalent. I give it... the greatest invention in history, TiVo or its equivalent," Trump said to Arizona Senate candidate Kari Lake while on stage. "I watched your debate due to that kind of thing that we can do nowadays."
That comment didn't sit well with many who oppose Trump, including Republican accountability group American Bridge 21st Century.
"Donald Trump is old enough to think that recording a televised debate is new technology," the group wrote Sunday.
The group's vice president of communications, Alexandra De Luca, also chimed in:
"For all that he sucks up to tech billionaires, Donald Trump is *incredibly* out of touch with how modern media works."
"He's still astonished about TiVo!" she added.
Delta combat veteran Travis Matthew said, "TIVO came out in 1999. Trump is clearly out of touch with current social trends and reality."
Educational group Stop Project 2025 wrote, "Coming soon: Trump TiVo. It will have his face on it on the default screen."
Popular parody account GOP Jesus echoed those sentiments, saying, "Trump Tivo on sale now!"
This isn't the first time Trump has made a similar comment about TiVo. In August, he said at another rally, "I love the playback controls you have nowadays. They used to call it TiVo, now they TiVo... I think it’s the single greatest invention. It is better than television."
