DOJ lawyer mocked for not knowing how to contact opposing team

The Justice Department has set its sights on New York Attorney General Letitia James and Sen. Adam Schiff (D-CA) as part of an ongoing effort to carry out a revenge campaign against President Donald Trump’s perceived foes. However, the DOJ lawyer leading the charge doesn’t appear to have all his ducks in a row.

Appellate lawyer Sean Marotta responded to a New York Times report about Edward Martin, the man now at the helm of the so-called "weaponization" effort. Trump claims the DOJ was “weaponized” against him, and Martin will now use it to target Trump’s enemies.

'Bizarre' move signals 'beginning of the end' for Dan Bongino at FBI: analyst

Morale is already low at the FBI, but an analyst warned things are about to get worse.

The FBI typically has a director and deputy director to lead the federal law enforcement agency, but pairing Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey as co-deputy director alongside former conservative podcast host Dan Bongino "isn't normal at all," according to MSNBC's Steve Benen.

'Please reconsider': GOP senators plead with Trump to stand down from latest fight

President Donald Trump's ploy to bully Senate Republicans into dropping a longstanding rule about presidential nominations appears to have crashed and burned, Politico reported on Tuesday — with lawmakers holding their ground against him in a way they generally dare not do.

The drama began in July, when Trump lashed out at 91-year-old Senate Judiciary Chair Chuck Grassley (R-IA), calling him "weak and ineffective" and demanding he axe "blue slips," the tradition that committees must have the approval of a nominee's home state senators to advance a nominee.

'Lost their damn minds!' Outrage as Texas GOP accused of 'kidnapping' Democrat

Democratic Texas state Rep. Nicole Collier was forced to spend the night Monday inside the Texas State Capitol building in Austin after she refused to sign a "permission slip" to accept the mandatory escort by the Department of Public Safety imposed on Democrats by the Republicans who control the chamber.

Republican House Speaker Dustin Burrows announced the restrictions on members of the Democratic caucus earlier in the day after Democrats returned after a two-week hiatus out of state to prevent quorum in the House as a way to block a controversial mid-decade redistricting effort by the GOP that aims to hand the party up to five more seats in midterm congressional elections next year as a favor to President Donald Trump.

All of this comes as Trump's summit with Russia's Vladimir Putin in Alaska resulted in no tangible steps toward peace — and as European leaders gathered at the White House at the start of the week to effectively stage an intervention in favor of America's continued defense of Ukraine and NATO.

'Bird killer': Trump slammed for 'hypocrisy' over wind farm vendetta

Donald Trump's apparent obsession with protecting birds from wind turbines is nothing more than a petty grudge masquerading as environmental concern, critics say.

During a recent appearance with UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer at Trump's Scottish golf course, the president ranted that windmills are "a disaster" that "kill all your birds." His Interior Secretary Doug Burgum quickly fell in line, tweeting that "wind projects are known to kill eagles" while announcing investigations into turbine impacts on bird populations.
