Insiders name senior Trump official set to take the fall for midterm 'disaster': report

A top adviser to President Donald Trump revealed Friday the identity of the senior White House official poised to take the fall for what many predict will be a midterm “disaster” for Republicans, Zeteo reported.

“Talk to people in and out of government who are very close to Trump, and it won’t take long for you to hear that despite the president’s public bravado and projections of confidence, he knows how spectacularly in-the-toilet his poll numbers are, at this midway point of his violently authoritarian second term,” wrote Zeteo’s Asawin Suebsaeng.

“He’s looking for people to blame, because he doesn’t want to look in the mirror in his disgusting-carpeted bathroom and blame the one man most responsible for his failures and humiliations.”

That official, according to the top Trump adviser, is White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles, who the adviser said was “in some deep s---.”

The revelation comes one day after the publication of a Politico report that revealed Trump had been “musing about replacements for his top aide,” asking allies their views of his chief adviser, much as he’s been reported to have done before axing other top officials, such as former Attorney General Pam Bondi, former Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard and former Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem.

Trump aggressively denied Politico’s reporting, telling the outlet that its report was “TOTAL FAKE NEWS” and that Wiles had his “COMPLETE confidence.” Suebsaeng cheekily wrote that he could “confirm Politico had it right.”

“We’ve spoken to a good number of Trump advisers and other well-placed Republican sources, some of whom are in Wiles’s corner,” Suebsaeng wrote.

“The sources confirmed that a) Trump really is getting fed up with Wiles and his current situation and is strongly weighing a shakeup, and b) one of the people on Trump’s shortlist for a potential Wiles successor is Stephen Miller, his incredibly bigoted, ethnic-cleanser-in-chief and top White House policy architect.”
