CNN anchor Anderson Cooper confronted billionaire Bill Gates about his ties to Jeffrey Epstein, leading to an icy sendoff at the end.

On Wednesday, Gates appeared on CNN to talk about a recent essay he wrote arguing that the AI industry is not admitting the real risks of the technology. However, at the end of the interview, Cooper noted that it was also Gates' first television appearance since his closed-door interview with the House Oversight Committee investigating Epstein's crimes.

"What was the extent of your relationship with Epstein?" Cooper asked Gates. "Did you ever interact with any of his victims?"...

Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates has turned to an unlikely person to help advise him as he prepares to testify about his relationship with late financier and child sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, according to a report from The New York Times on Tuesday.

Gates was slated to speak to the House Oversight Committee in private on Wednesday, and The Times reported that he has tapped Jake Greenberg, the former top investigative counsel to the Committee, to help him in the wake of the release of the Epstein file. The fallout has affected his Gates Foundation amid questions about the nature of his relationship with Epstein, two sources affiliated with the organization told The Times.

"In preparing for the deposition, Mr. Gates has turned to Jake Greenberg, who until December was spearheading the oversight panel’s Epstein inquiry in his role as the committee’s top investigative official," according to The Times. "The people who disclosed his involvement insisted on anonymity to discuss Mr. Greenberg’s previously undisclosed function."

Philanthropist Melinda French Gates had a sharp response to her ex-husband Bill Gates after allegations surfaced in the most recent trove of Epstein files, showing private emails between the late financier and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein and the former Microsoft CEO.

In the emails, which were part of the more than 3 million documents released by the Department of Justice last week, it was suggested that Bill Gates had additional affairs and had come to Epstein so he could "facilitate trysts with married women and to get medication to treat an STI from 'sex with Russian girls,'" NPR reported Tuesday.

In her first time speaking publicly about the allegations, French Gates responded to the allegations in the Epstein files during a conversation on NPR's "Wild Card" podcast....

Another trove of new photos obtained from Jeffrey Epstein's estate stunned the internet on Thursday.

House Oversight Democrats released more than four dozen new photos of the late sex offender and his associates, including Bill Gates, Noam Chomsky and New York Times columnist David Brooks, along with cryptic close-up shots of a female body and photos of various documents.

The revelation forced The Times to issue a statement explaining why one of the newspaper's columnists appeared in the images....

A Democratic lawmaker on Friday revealed a shocking update about the new trove of "explicit and disturbing" images released by House Democrats on the Oversight Committee from the Jeffrey Epstein estate, including the revelation that some of the more than 90,000 images have "pictures of people engaged in sexual acts."

Rep. Suhas Subramanyam (D-VA) told CNN's Kasie Hunt that the images of the late financier and convicted child sex offender with other high-profile people — President Donald Trump, Bill Gates, former President Bill Clinton, filmmaker Woody Allen and MAGA strategist Steve Bannon — were just 20 or so of the thousands of images the committee was investigating. And that lawmakers have questions for many of the people in the photos, including the ones who have not been identified.

"We're talking about sexual acts involving potentially minors, and certainly victims, too, in very suggestive and compromising positions. Just to leave it at that," Subramanyam said. ...

Flanked by Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg and Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates, President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump hosted a White House dinner with some of the richest and most powerful leaders of the world’s tech giants.

To Fraser Patterson, CEO and founder of Skillit, an AI-powered construction hiring platform, it was no coincidence that after the meeting last month of more than 30 Silicon Valley power players and Trump advisers, the administration unveiled a plan to charge $100,000 one-time application fees for H-1B visas, which tech companies typically use to employ highly skilled foreign workers.

“It can appear as though, rather than it being an improvement to immigration policy, it feels a little more like a labor war strategy,” Patterson said....
