The Pentagon has threatened to drop its decades-long military support for Scouting America, formerly known as Boy Scouts, according to reports Tuesday.

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has been critical of the organization and its name change, particularly its decision to allow girls to join the formerly all-male youth program, according to The Washington Post.

A northern Idaho sheriff declined to renew his department’s charter with a local Boy Scout troop after the organization ended its ban on gay members.

A conservative pastor drove a Boy Scouts of America troop out of the church that has been its home for 68 years over the organization's decision to allow gay scouts.

Christian radio broadcasters Kevin Swanson and Dave Buehner told their listeners that Boy Scouts were trying to "find the thing that God really, really, really hates the most" by allowing gay members, and soon the organization would be handing out merit badges for sodomy, incest and cannibalism.
