Donald Trump on Sunday lashed out against the "lightweights and fakes" who once worked for his White House, and now talk badly about the former president on TV.

Trump, who is currently bound by a gag order that prevents him from attacking witnesses in the criminal trial he's facing, instead turned his sights to former Homeland Security official Miles Taylor, who has claimed his home was targeted by a break-in shortly after he published a scathing "Anonymous" op-ed about Trump's presidency, and retired four-star Marine general John Kelly, who previously served as Secretary of Homeland Security and White House chief of staff.

The attack began by referencing the news outlets on which some of his former employees and White House aides now appear....

Donald Trump on Saturday thanked the veterans attending his New Hampshire rally, but then proceeded to attack a familiar target: General Milley.

Trump veered off course from his stump speech several times at his rally, even appearing to confuse Barack Obama for Joe Biden at one point. He also took numerous shots at the retired general named Mark Milley, who said he had to restrain the former president's worst impulses throughout his time in office.

Trump mentioned Milley alongside secretary of defense James Mattis....

In a CBS News interview with Norah O'Donnell, retiring Joint Chiefs Chairman Mark Milley weighed in on Trump's recent comments suggesting that he should be put to death.

"President Trump recently said that your dealings with China were so egregious that 'in times gone by, the punishment would have been death,'" said O'Donnell.

"That's right, he said that," said Milley. "That's correct."...

Congressman Paul Gosar, representing the 9th district of Arizona, said on Sunday that a retiring general should be "hung," echoing sentiments from former president Donald Trump, who said the military leader might deserve "the death penalty" for his purported actions.

Gosar, who was targeted for censure after his newsletter reportedly included a link to a website that promotes antisemitism and Holocaust denialism, said in his Sunday newsletter that General Mark Milley wrongly delayed National Guard resources surrounding January 6th.

Gosar's comments come just after Trump suggested that the retiring general who has criticized the former president deserves the "death penalty," prompting conservatives of various backgrounds to condemn the comments....
