A number of congressional Democrats were raising concerns and demanding that it was time to invoke the 25th Amendment on Tuesday after President Donald Trump raised a serious threat to permanently damage Iran and its people.

Trump said via his Truth Social platform that if Iran did not meet his negotiation deadline by 8 p.m. ET, "a whole civilization will die tonight, never to be brought back again. I don’t want that to happen, but it probably will."

Lawmakers responded to the president's comments, citing it was time to force Trump from office and pass presidential powers and duties to Vice President JD Vance. ...

A Missouri town that voted overwhelmingly for Donald Trump in the 2024 election has come to regret its choice after a beloved neighbor was detained by ICE, according to The New York Times.

In the farming town of Kennett, MO, population 10,000, Times reporter Jack Healy met with residents who "supported in theory" Trump's tough talk on immigration. Now they're rallying around a Hong Kong immigrant named Ming Li Hui, who went by "Carol" in her adopted hometown.

"In the 20 years since she arrived from Hong Kong, she had built a life and family in Kennett, working two waitressing jobs and cleaning houses on the side," Healy wrote. He quoted a Kennett city councilwoman who said, “Everyone knows Carol."...

CNN anchor Brianna Keilar pressed Rep. Jimmy Patronis (R-FL) over the issue of a proposed a Medicaid work requirement as Republican lawmakers consider making cuts to pay for President Donald Trump's mega spending bill.

Trump met with Republicans on Capitol Hill Tuesday to motivate them to iron out their differences over the bill since he can only afford to lose three GOP votes in order to pass it.

Keilar noted that almost 140,000 of Patronis's constituents received Medicaid, which worked out to "roughly one out of every six people." ...

Three Democratic lawmakers could lose their committee seats after rushing into a New Jersey detention facility last week in support of undocumented migrants being held by ICE, Fox News Digital reported Tuesday.

Rep. Buddy Carter (R-GA) introduced a resolution on Tuesday that would remove Rep. Bonnie Watson Coleman (D-NJ) from the House Appropriations Committee, Rep. Rob Menendez Jr. (D-NJ) from the House Energy & Commerce Committee, and Rep. LaMonica McIver (D-NJ) from the House committees on Small Business and Homeland Security, the report said.

Carter told the outlet, "The radical left has lost their minds – they would rather raid an ICE facility to defend criminal illegal immigrants than represent their own constituents. This behavior constitutes an assault on our brave ICE agents and undermines the rule of law. The three members involved in this stunt do not deserve to sit on committees alongside serious lawmakers."...
