Mobster decapitated: Spent life looking over his shoulder but 'forgot to look both ways'

A former Genovese crime family captain was reportedly decapitated by a truck as he crossed a Brooklyn street last week.

Antonio Conigliaro, 86, was identified by the NYPD as the man hit and killed June 12. The New York Post reported Friday that he went by "Tony Cakes" and "Tony the Dessert Man" — and was a former acting capo for the infamous crime family. He was struck by a city Transportation Department truck, his lawyers and law-enforcement sources told the Post.

“He spent his life looking over his shoulder but he forgot to look both ways before crossing the street,” a police source told the news outlet....

Trump said to have urgently asked biographer if mobster he insulted was 'still in jail'

Former President Donald Trump's partnership with the mob in his early days of business were legion, said biographer Tim O'Brien on MSNBC's "Deadline: White House" — but deep down, even as Trump looked up to crime bosses, he was very scared of them.

This conversation came during an analysis of the former president's hush money trial in Manhattan, where a full jury has been selected as of Thursday evening.

"Donald Trump's first partners in Atlantic City, Ken Shapiro, a bag man for the Philadelphia mob, and a labor racketeer named Danny Sullivan," said O'Brien. "Those were his two partners in Atlantic City. When Trump Tower got built, 80 percent of Trump Tower was built with concrete at a time when all the skyscrapers in Manhattan had long since converted to building their high-rises out of steel."...

'Trump's new character witness': Ex-president draws fire for thanking Gambino crime member

Donald Trump is touting a new endorsement from an unlikely source.

Trump took to his social media network, Truth Social, on Friday to thank "Sammy the Bull" for a video in which the former mobster claims he tried to "press" Trump but couldn't corrupt him. In the video, Sammy says Trump was constantly surrounded by ex-FBI agents.

"I couldn't get to him. He wouldn't bite," he said....

Child sex abuse probe had to be paused due to Jan. 6 Capitol attack: report

The work to bring a pedophile into custody was put on hold because of the Jan. 6, 2021 riot at the Capital.

A child pornography case charging a Virginia man had to be halted just as an FBI agent had launched a sting pretending to be a father with a 9-year-old son, according to a complaint filed in the District of Columbia federal court and first flagged down by Court News Watch.

On Dec. 20, 2020, the feds started to zero in on a Richmond, Virginia man named Brogan Welsh, who claimed to be 28 and expressed a sexual interest in young boys. ...

Trump used 'direct terms of a mob boss' in docs case: Ex-White House lawyer

Former President Donald Trump treated his assistant Molly Michael the way a "mob boss" would a subordinate, when he demanded she not say a word about the boxes of highly classified national defense information stacked up at his Mar-a-Lago country club.

That's the view of former White House attorney Ty Cobb, who previously served in the Trump administration.

"Again, the quote here, Molly Michael, former assistant to Donald Trump tells investigators, quote, 'you don't know anything about the boxes,'" said CNN anchor Erin Burnett. "What do you hear when you hear those words?"...

'He don't keep his word': Former mob boss tells why he wouldn't do business with Trump

A new book out this weekend on a top former mob boss claims that the mob did business with casino owner Donald Trump in the 1980s – but that things didn’t go far because Trump couldn’t be trusted, Fox News reported today.

The book – entitled “The Life We Chose: William 'Big Billy' D’Elia and the Last Secrets of America’s Most Powerful Mafia Family” – is promoted as containing new information about Jimmy Hoffa, the Godfather Movie, and at least one Trump dealing with mobsters.

The Fox News interview with the raspy-voiced D’Elia included this exchange about Trump:...
