Fresh off the heels of John "The IWSB Whisperer" Derbyshire's racist rant and subsequent firing, Rich Lowry has had to fire yet another racist writer.

The conservative magazine National Review fired columnist John Derbyshire Saturday evening for his controversial column in another publication urging white and Asian parents to tell their children to avoid contact with African-Americans they don't know.

If Republicans don't win in 2012, it'll be because all the best candidates stayed out.  Keep in mind that the only reason those are the best candidates is because they aren't running; if the field were flipped the same people who are currently in would be looked at as the excitement-generating candidates the primary was sorely missing.

As Kos said, there's something wrong with these people; he's referring to emotionally and sexually stunted conservatives like The National Review's Rich Lowry. Rich basically described for America how he spanked the monkey while watching Sarah Palin wink at him through the TV set during the debate last night.

It made no sense for McCain and Palin to travel to Mississippi to get a briefing on the hurricane, or to take a tour - absolutely nobody in the path of the storm needs to be taking time to handhold political candidates for a photo-op.
