Rudy Giuliani may have lost his New York state law license this week for undermining the “integrity of this country’s electoral process” and misconduct that “cannot be overstated,” a Manhattan appeals court ruled.

But at one of New York state’s most notable colleges, Giuliani’s honorary law degree from the Syracuse University College of Law is still safely in the hands of the former New York City mayor and Donald Trump lawyer — for now, the school confirmed to Raw Story.

Syracuse University spokeswoman Sarah Scalese explained that the school’s University Senate voted in March to “recommend the university revoke Rudy Giuliani’s honorary degree” and “the Chancellor referred the Senate’s recommendation to the Board of Trustees for its consideration.”...

A University of South Carolina alumnus and donor said he would still keep his upcoming meeting about funding an endowment for the school’s Honors College.

But the donor was furious and appalled at the school for introducing former President Donald Trump on the field at halftime of last November’s football game against Clemson. Dressed in a blue suit and striped tie, Trump smiled, clapped and waved to the crowd, which showered him with a mixture of cheers and jeers.

“Give me a reason to believe in USC again,” the email to Athletics Director Ray Tanner said. “Give me a reason to consider establishing an endowment. Because at this moment I’m questioning the leadership of the athletic department and the university, and wondering if my money is better off being spent elsewhere, where truth, morality, and human decency matter.”

Syracuse University's Honorary Degree Committee has decided to not move forward with rescinding Rudy Giuliani’s honorary degree.

The committee last year asked petitioners for the degree revocation to provide additional information to determine if the resolution met the qualifications for the rescission of Giuliani's degree, according to a statement written to The Daily Orange by Michel Benaroch, this year’s chair of the committee....

His recent indignities include 13 felony charges related to his attempt to overturn the results of the 2020 election in Georgia, status as “co-conspirator 1” in one of former President Donald Trump’s federal indictments and the pending loss of his law license in Washington, D.C.

Meanwhile, an ex-employee is accusing Giuliani of sexual assault. The IRS says Giuliani owes massive back taxes. A motley cast of detractors, ranging from his former lawyers to President Joe Biden’s son, Hunter Biden, are suing the former New York City Mayor and Trump attorney over a variety of alleged misdeeds....
