Political commentator Piers Morgan cooked up a devastating montage of President Donald Trump's violent rhetoric that he played on Wednesday during a fiery takedown of a MAGA pundit's talking point.
Morgan had MAGA commentator Clay Travis, conservative radio host Ben Ferguson, Democratic strategist Mike Nellis, and liberal YouTuber Cenk Uygur on a new episode of his show, "Piers Morgan Uncensored." During the panel segment, Travis and Ferguson both claimed that the violent rhetoric espoused by Democrats had inspired the alleged shooter at the White House Correspondents' Dinner on Saturday.
Morgan reminded the two that Trump has also shared his fair share of violent rhetoric, which Travis and Ferguson refused to condemn.
"Knock the hell out of them!" Trump said in one clip about a protester at one of his campaign rallies.
"Now, if I don't get elected, it's going to be a bloodbath," Trump said in another clip. "That's gonna be the least of it. It's gonna be a bloodbath for the country."
"For those who have been wronged and betrayed ... I am your retribution, I will take care of it," Trump said in another clip.
The montage was played at a time when debates over political rhetoric had reached a fever pitch. The Trump White House has blamed Democrats for the shooting, and Trump himself has used the shooting as a pretext to go after foes like late-night comedian Jimmy Kimmel.
