Trump issues ‘chilling message’ to foreign ally in shocking call to Fox News: journalist

President Donald Trump issued what Axios’ Barak Ravid called a “chilling message” to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Tuesday during a call to Fox News, one that carried a stunning implication.

Netanyahu is scheduled to meet with Trump at the White House later on Tuesday and will reportedly brief the president about supposed efforts by Iran to re-establish its nuclear program. According to the Jerusalem Post, Netanyahu is expected to show Trump supposed evidence of Iranian activity around an underground nuclear site near Pickaxe Mountain.

“There are reports now that Netanyahu is going to talk to you about ongoing excavation at Pickaxe Mountain, construction vehicles entering and exiting tunnels, paving new access roads,” said Fox News’ Ainsley Earhardt. “Satellite imagery and intel indicates that Iran is actively constructing and fortifying Pickaxe Mountain, how will we respond?”

A frustrated-sounding Trump dismissed Netanyahu having publicly revealed details of their forthcoming meeting, and accused the Israeli prime minister of working to keep the United States at war.

“Well, I don't need Bibi to tell me that. Bibi's telling me that because he wants me to stay involved,” Trump said over the phone.

“We have the finest – because of Space Force, we have the greatest cameras in the world focused on… we know exactly what's going on. But no, I heard Bibi announce that. I said, 'Why didn't you just tell it to me? Why do you have to announce it to the world?' I know exactly what's going on at Pickaxe, it's not a big problem.”

Ravid was left stunned by the remarks given their proximity to Trump’s meeting with Netanyahu, scheduled for just a few hours later.

“Three hours before their meeting President Trump on Fox News sends a chilling message to Netanyahu and claims Bibi is talking about Pickaxe mountain in Iran because he wants to convince him to stay involved in the war,” Ravid wrote in a post on X.
