President Donald Trump infuriated his critics Sunday after he released another taxpayer-funded political advertisement.
The ad was shot in black and white and features Trump walking through the White House portrait gallery. Trump's also tells the audience that they are gearing up for the "final battle" in which he and his supporters will "demolish the deep state" and "expel the warmongers from our government." At the end of the ad, it displays a sign that reads "Paid for by the U.S. Government."
The ad was released just a few days after the Trump admin released another taxpayer-funded ad that stirred controversy.
The new black-and-white ad sparked backlash on social media.
"They’re just stealing your money to pay for this," Matthew Yglesias, a journalist, posted on X.
"Absolutely demented. Like a scene from a horror movie," Aaron Rupar, a journalist, posted on X.
"5 weeks before the midterms, American taxpayers are paying to air an ad from the 2024 Trump campaign. You are paying for this political ad," Ron Filipkowski, editor-in-chief of the MeidasTouch Network, posted on X.
"Your taxpayer dollars are being illegally spent to air a literal Trump 2024 campaign ad," Aaron Reichlin-Melnick, an immigration lawyer, posted on X.
