President Donald Trump took to his Truth Social platform on Friday evening to throw a temper tantrum after federal court decisions declared his demolition of the White House East Wing to build a ballroom illegal.
The decision, in which the judges decried Trump's "utter lawlessness," already earned a Trump rant earlier in the day — but he wasn't done just yet.
"Two Judges, one appointed by Barack Hussein Obama, the other by Sleepy Joe Biden, said in a ruling on the desperately needed SECURE Ballroom/Military Complex, including a major DronePort on the roof, that 'Each President is a temporary tenant…of the White House,'" wrote Trump in a rage, without providing any evidence or clarification on how the ballroom serves a "military" purpose.
Trump, being a real estate mogul for most of his life, particularly seemed to take issue with that "tenant" label.
"We are not tenants, who pay rent and do all other things that a tenant must do, we are PRESIDENTS, elected by the people of the United States of America, and have many rights, including the right to fix, renovate, secure, protect, and beautify the White House grounds, which has been built and rebuilt, renovated and rerenovated, repaired and, simply, MADE BETTER, many times since 1792, and never needing the permission of Congress, or anyone else, to do so," said Trump.
He went on to add that the court ruling is a "National Security Threat at the highest level" and "also a National Disgrace."
