Combs was convicted on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution. He was acquitted of the more serious charges of racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking.

'Really?' DOJ hit with 'sharp questions' from Trump-appointed judge over troop deployment

A Trump-appointed judge didn't seem to fully buy arguments put forward by the Trump administration's Justice Department as to why the emergency deployment of National Guard troops to Portland, Oregon, is justified.

No large-scale unrest or crime wave is currently underway in Portland, and the only incident that appears to have justified Trump and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth's move against the famously progressive city is a series of peaceful protests outside an Immigration and Customs Enforcement facility south of downtown. Department of Homeland Security officials have described the demonstrators as "violent rioters," which is disputed by local witnesses.

'Completely insane': Karoline Leavitt shredded after declaring American city 'war-ravaged'

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt unleashed a dramatic and unsupported claim on Friday afternoon while justifying President Donald Trump's plans to send military forces to keep order in Portland, Oregon — a famously progressive city where peaceful demonstrations have flared up against Trump's Immigration and Customs Enforcement operations in the area.

"President Trump will end the radical left's reign of terror in Portland once and for all," said Leavitt. "The president has directed Secretary Hegseth to provide all necessary troops to protect war-ravaged Portland."

Jeanine Pirro and DOJ issue rare rebuke of J6 MAGA attackers in new filing

A new court filing submitted by U.S. Attorney Jeanine Pirro, a former Fox News co-host and close ally of President Donald Trump, and her team issued a rare rebuke of a Jan. 6 attacker in a new court filing.

Flagged by CBS News reporter Scott MacFarlane, the filing involved New York Police Department officer Thomas Webster, who was sentenced to 10 years in prison for his role in the Jan. 6, 2021, attacks on the U.S. Capitol. The Justice Department wrote in a 2022 statement that Webster was accused of "assaulting a law enforcement officer with a deadly or dangerous weapon and related charges for his actions during the breach of the U.S. Capitol..."

President Donald Trump backed down on his move to gut New York City's counterterrorism funding, facing warnings it could "blow up in his face."

Trump and his administration slashed the city's counterterrorism funding in late September and early October, reducing federal support by $187 million, or 86%, from prior levels. The funding cuts were met with fierce criticism from New York officials, who warned the city and state would be vulnerable to attack. Both Gov. Kathy Hochul (D) and the NYPD commissioner called the move a threat to public safety.

‘Party of Satan!’ Trump uncorks bizarre rant weeks after Kirk rhetoric blame game

In a late-night social media posting spree, President Donald Trump promoted a meme that declared Democrats are the “party of hate, evil, and Satan.” The attack on his political opposition comes just weeks after the President and his allies blamed Democratic rhetoric for the assassination of conservative commentator Charlie Kirk, despite providing no evidence to support their claims.

The meme the President posted also stated that the Democratic Party is “dead,” and has “no leadership,” “no message,” “no hope,” and, “their only message for America is to hate Trump.”
