Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives John Boehner on Wednesday said he had broad support among his Republican colleagues, and indicated he has no plan for taking up a resolution to remove him from his position.

The fellow Republican lawmaker who introduced the resolution on Tuesday, Representative Mark Meadows, is "just one member," Boehner said, and the motion "isn't even deserving of a vote."
