One-time fringe-right best pals Glenn Beck and Sarah Palin have evidently had a falling out and it ain't pretty. After they appeared at the anti-Iran deal "protest" Wednesday, Beck took to his nationally syndicated radio show to blast the celebrity conservative for being unprincipled and all-around fatuous.
"Yeah, I'm gonna say it," Beck began. "I don't care what Sarah Palin says anymore."
"Sarah Palin has become a clown. I'm embarrassed I was once for Sarah Palin. Honestly, I'm embarrassed," the host said. "Why would I say that about Sarah Palin? Because I don't know who she is anymore. I don't know what she stands for. I saw a clip of her talking to Donald Trump, what the hell is that?"
So, after years of half-thoughts, racist dog-whistles, Islamophobic demagoguery, and reality TV spectacle, it was one interview with Donald Trump that finally put Mr. Beck over the edge? Okay.
