John Nolte, editor-at-large and resident film critic at Breitbart.com, accused President Barack Obama on Wednesday of faking emotion about kids lost to gun violence so he could "give America the finger" while wiping away "fake-fascist tears."
After the president cried at an event announcing executive actions on gun safety, many in the conservative media suggested that Obama had been insincere or had even used a "raw onion" to fake the tears.
On Wednesday, Nolte asserted that the tears had been a ploy allowing Obama to insult America by using a middle finger to wipe his face.
"Before his fake-fascist tears began to roll, Obama used his classic move to give America the finger," Nolte wrote on Twitter. His tweet was accompanied by a photograph of the president wiping away tears with his middle finger.
Breitbart's Sarah Palin also slammed the president for being emotional over gun deaths instead of undocumented immigrants and terrorism around the world.
"The whole world weeps waiting for American leadership in these troubled times as Islamic savages commit genocide against the Christians of the Middle East and terrorize innocent people in cities across the globe," she wrote in a column for Breitbart. "Meanwhile, Obama wept as he blamed law-abiding patriots for the nation’s insecurity and sought to strip them of the Constitutional rights that generations of Americans shed blood to protect."
"Obama wept, while we all continue to weep for our country and the civilized world."
