Libertarian Presidential nominee Gary Johnson taunts Donald Trump on CNN (Screen cap)

Libertarian presidential nominee and former New Mexico Governor Gary Johnson knows from first-hand experience that the vast majority of undocumented immigrants are not "rapists" or "drug dealers," as Donald Trump has described them. In fact, Johnson understands that most of them are just people looking for work to make better lives for themselves.

During an interview with CNN on Tuesday, Johnson defended his recent remarks in which he called out Trump's "racist" rhetoric against immigrants and bashed his proposal to build a border wall.

"The people who are coming across the border are people who just want jobs," Johnson insisted. "So how about making a system whereby it would be easy to get a work visa... so that the people crossing the border illegally, that the border patrol would actually be able to identify those people, as opposed to mothers with children that are actually wading across the Rio Grande because of jobs that exist and they can't get across the border to take advantage of them."

When host Chris Cuomo asked Johnson if he was prepared for a flurry of negative feedback after calling out Trump for racism, Johnson taunted Trump by blowing a kiss at the camera.
