Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) will speak in New York City on Thursday evening in what his campaign has promoted under the title, "Where we go from here."

Thursday's speech, the first of a two-day swing through New York State, follows an appearance on Stephen Colbert's Late Show. As Alternet reported, the senator plans to begin campaigning for progressive down-ballot candidates.

The speech comes a day after Sanders said in an interview that "it doesn't appear" that he will defeat former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton for the Democratic Party's presidential nomination.

"It would be nice to speak at the Democratic National Convention," Sanders said. "If for whatever reason they don't want me to speak, then whatever. But I do think I'll speak at the convention."

The speech will be streamed online, and can be seen here.
