In a conversation with Democratic National Committee chair Donna Brazile, "Morning Joe" co-host Mika Brzezinski went off about the double standard that women face not just in the presidential race but in the job market in general.

"If this is a job interview, think about it," Brazile began. "One person comes in just dressed up, you know, in a nice suit, like this young man here, and just disrupts the class and disrupts the interview and he wants the job. The other one comes well prepared, has all her notes—"

"And the guy gets the job, Donna," Brzezinski interjected. "That's what happens, Donna!"

"That was the past, that was the past," Brazile tried to say

"No, that's the reality that women all face today," Brzezinski continued. "Guys walk in there, they bluster, they lie, they're totally confident. I mean, they, seriously, are very used to saying much more about themselves than what actually exists. They go on, and on, and on, and on, and on about. They make up stuff and then they get the job because the woman comes in, she's all prepared. Her resume is 25 pages long and she thinks everybody is going to just notice her hard work."
