Ana Navarro sounds off on Trump's AG pick: Sessions 'too racist to be a judge in the 80's'

Republican strategist Ana Navarro Friday tore into Donald Trump over his attorney general pick, Jeff Sessions.

In 1986, President Ronald Reagan nominated Sessions to a federal judgeship. The Senate Judiciary Committee denied him the position after hearing testimony that Sessions made racist remarks, including saying he thought the Ku Klux Klan was "okay until he learned that they smoked marijuana."

Trump will announce his attorney general pick Friday, the Hill reports. Sessions, an early and loyal Trump backer, is playing a major role on Trump’s transition team. In a statement Thursday, the president-elect said he’s “unbelievable impressed” with his attorney general pick.
