Model Chrissy Teigen has developed a reputation for having a way with a sharp-edged quip on social media and on Thursday she laid waste to the argument that Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton's email "scandal" is equivalent to the bevy of accusations against her Republican rival, Donald Trump.
She began with a pointed re-tweet.
"One candidate is facing fraud and child rape charges and the other sent some emails. Get real America," wrote former Savage Garden lead singer and LGBT activist Darren Hayes.
Popsugar.com said that Teigen wrote, "Trump is one horrible man. No big deal on its own. The amount of supporters he has is the troubling part. God help us."
She continued, "'Ok so he is going to trial for child rape but she...' WHAT. THINK ABOUT WHAT YOU ARE GONNA SAY AFTER THE WORD 'SHE.' REALLY THINK," Teigen said. "BECAUSE WHATEVER COMES AFTER THE WORD 'SHE' MUST BE WORSE THAN CHILD RAPE TO YOU."
Teigen recently made her Twitter feed private, saying that the amount of abuse she was encountering online was becoming exhausting.
