George Conway, the husband of top Trump adviser Kellyanne Conway, took a shot at the president on Twitter Monday morning by knocking his decision to issue a series of tweets about his proposed "travel ban."
"These tweets may make some ppl feel better, but they certainly won't help [Trump's travel ban executive order] get 5 votes in SCOTUS, which is what actually matters," Conway wrote. "Sad."
Conway late last week withdrew himself from consideration for a job at the United States Department of Justice. His tweet knocking Trump is the first that he has posted since 2015.
Trump angrily tweeted about assorted courts overturning his travel ban order on Monday morning, and chided his own Department of Justice for not sticking with "the original Travel Ban, not the watered down, politically correct version they submitted to S.C."
"The Justice Dept. should ask for an expedited hearing of the watered down Travel Ban before the Supreme Court - & seek much tougher version!" Trump added.
