A Montgomery County, TX Baptist preacher was arrested and charged late Wednesday night when he solicited an undercover Harris County sheriff's deputy for sex, said KTRK Channel 13 on Thursday night.

Police reports say Rev. Eddie Hilburn, 52, was arrested at a motel after agreeing to pay $80 for a sex act. Shortly after the agreement was made, deputies moved in and arrested Hilburn.

The Woodland First Baptist Church confirmed on Thursday that Hilburn has been one of their associate pastors since 2012.

The church has scrubbed Hilburn's bio from its website and released a statement that said, "The Woodlands First Baptist Church is still gathering information regarding our staff member Eddie Hilburn. We can assure you that a statement will be issued once all facts are known, and administration has had an opportunity to review them. We appreciate your patience in the meantime, and we continue to look to God for guidance."
