CNN "New Day" hosts Alisyn Camerota and Chris Cuomo
CNN began the morning bringing up the bizarre feud between the wives of President Donald Trump.
In an interview promoting her book, ex-wife Ivana Trump made an offhanded comment that she speaks to the president at least once a week. She said she doesn't call into the White House switchboard, however, because First Lady Melania Trump "is there." She went on to say that she is "basically [the] first Trump wife. The first lady, OK," she said laughing.
The First Lady then issued a statement of response, saying she's focusing on her family and her position, not selling books.
"And the White House bashing the mother of his kids, of three of his kids," Cuomo noted. "Which is just a beautiful dynamic."
