Former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie was hired as a contributor to ABC News, NJ.com reports.
The announcement is expected to be made Tuesday on “Good Morning America,” sources told the publication. He will provide analysis for Donald Trump’s first State of the Union speech.
As NJ.com notes, the decision to hire Christie was made in part because of his proximity to Trump. Christie originally led Trump’s transition team; shortly following the election, he was abruptly replaced by Vice President Mike Pence.
