A Republican state congresswoman in Pennsylvania has taken out a restraining order on a fellow GOP colleague for allegedly pulling a gun on her.

The Associated Press on Friday reported that State Rep. Tarah Toohil alleges Rep. Nick Miccarelli once pulled a gun on her in 2012. A judge granted Toohil the restraining order that bars the male Republican from contacting Toohil and also bars him from possessing a firearm.

Along with the 2012 incident, Toohil also alleges Miccarelli once threatened to crash a car they were both in while traveling at 100 miles per hour and "kicked, pinched and hit her."

"She said she was so concerned about her safety she appended a note to her life insurance policy that said Miccarelli should be investigated if something happened to her," AP's report notes.

Miccarelli, who was previously in a relationship with Toohil, has been accused by two other women of sexual assault and is under investigation by the Dauphin County District Attorney's office based on the allegations. He categorically denied Toohil's claims, saying through his lawyer she did so out of jealousy because he recently married another woman.
