Fox News host Ainsley Earhardt told Sean Hannity Wednesday that President Donald Trump is considering pardoning Paul Manafort.
The former campaign chairman was found guilty this week on eight financial crimes, which could lead to a sentence of life in prison.
“I think he feels bad for Manafort. They were friends, he didn’t work for him very long, [he] worked for him for basically one hundred days,” she said.
After Manafort was found guilty by a jury, Trump told reporters he felt bad for him and touted his service to other Republicans like Bob Dole and Ronald Reagan.
“I feel very badly for Paul Manafort and his wonderful family. ‘Justice’ took a 12-year-old tax case, among other things, applied tremendous pressure on him and, unlike Michael Cohen, he refused to 'break' - make up stories in order to get a ‘deal.’ Such respect for a brave man!” Trump tweeted Wednesday.
