President Donald Trump claimed the support of fallen servicemembers for his abrupt decision to withdraw all troops from Syria.

Early Wednesday morning, Trump tweeted out his surprise decision on Syria.

Nine hours later, Trump tweeted again, this time a video where he claimed killed in action troops support his decision.

"And I'll tell you, they’re up there looking down on us," Trump said while pointing to the heavens. "And there is nobody happier or more proud their families to put them in a position where they've done such good for so many people."

"We won. And that's the way we want and that’s the way they want it," he said, as he again pointed to the sky.
