Ohio Judge Shirley Strickland on Wednesday granted a restraining order sought by Rep. Marcia Fudge (D-OH), The Plain Dealer reported Wednesday.

Mary Ann Lorient of Avon had accused Fudge of slapping a phone out of her hand during an altercation at the Mediterranean Party Center in Bedford Heights.

Fudge vehemently denied the allegation.

“This is a total fabrication,” Fudge told the judge.

“If I had hit her, she would have been hurt," Fudge said. "I did not hit her.”
