Ah hell no! I just got off schedule because of all the SXSW and traveling and stuff. But the Genius ten is back, for everyone who enjoys reading random playlists of music. So, leave a random ten, or follow suit and do a Genius ten. Today's song is picked for two reasons: I saw this artist at SXSW and it's also insanely cheerful French music, and I think everyone could use some of that.

Original song: "Je Veux Te Voir"---Yelle

Genius decided that this means it should cough up a bunch of French music, no matter how little it sounds like Yelle. Seriously, there's bachelor pad music, garage rock, and dance pop in this list. Pardon me if my punctuation is all fucked up---I just write what iTunes gives me.

1) "Ta Douleur"---Camille

2) "Comment Te Dire Adieu?"---Francoise Hardy

3) "Etres Humains"---Katerine

4) "Je t'aime Moi Non Plus"---Serge Gainsbourg

5) "Boby Cheri"---Emily Loizeau

6) "Avant La Bagarre"---France Gall

7) "Les Responsable"---Jacques Dutronc

8) "Les filles, C'est Fait Pour Faire L'amour"---Mareva Galanter

9) "C'est Bien Mieux Comme Ca"---Soha

10) Ce Jeu"---Yelle

Seriously, just to give you an idea of how weird a mix this is musically, a sampling below the fold. Camille:

Jacques Dutronc:

Emily Loizeau:

Make of this what you will.

And for you cat fiends, here is an amusing picture of cat rebellion. They have, over the course of months, really furred up the comforter on the guest bed. But we had guests for SXSW, so I washed it and the sheets. While the comforter was bunched up on the bed, waiting for the sheets to dry, the cats demonstrated that they don't give up ownership that easily:

Next week: Amusing photographs of Molly and Dusty confronting the Cylon-esque threat of the new Roomba, purchased due to recession-level deep discounts.
