On Friday's episode of "The Ed Show," host Ed Schultz revealed that the winner of his "Psycho Talker of the Year" award for 2011 is none other than Republican radio host Rush Limbaugh -- but it was still a close race.

"You know, this was pretty tough," he said. "We had some arguments in the office over this, the competition was tight." Schultz based the award on how many times figures on the political right have been featured in his show's "psycho talk" segment over the year.

Fox News host Sean Hannity tied with Texas Gov. Rick Perry for fifth, according to Schultz, while the hosts of "Fox and Friends" took fourth. Third place went to Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN), who Schultz confessed thought would win the contest -- and the dubious honor of second was given to former motivational speaker Herman Cain.

Limbaugh won overall with 10 "trips to the zone this year," Schultz said before playing a painful highlight reel of the quotes that earned him the label of "Psycho Talker of the Year."

Last year's winner was former television host Glenn Beck, who was fired from his spot on Fox News in April.

"I wonder what fate awaits this year's honoree," Schultz quipped.
