Rep. Ron Paul (R-TX) is not a believer in new GOP presidential frontrunner Rick Santorum being a true conservative, expressing his usually frank opinion Sunday morning on CNN's State of the Union.

The Texas congressman strongly doubted Santorum could defeat President Barack Obama in the general election, saying "I don't see that as possible." He then chastised Santorum for previously voting for a bill that included funding for Planned Parenthood.

"I don't see how anybody can get anyway with that inconsistency pretending he's a conservative," Paul said. "And his voting record is, I think, for my view point, an atrocious voting record how liberal he's been for the many things he's voted over the many years he was in the Senate, and in the House."
