On her show Monday night, MSNBC host Rachel Maddow cataloged a slew of recent Republican bills that aim to roll back women's access to contraception and abortion.

"Slap an anti-abortion label on it and apparently this year's model of Republican lawmaker will automatically vote for it," she quipped.

Not surprisingly, Republicans have denied waging anything like a "war on women." But Maddow noted that Republicans had pushed through a record number of bills targeting abortion.

"This is how Republicans are governing this year, where ever they have power, anywhere in the country, Republicans are prioritizing using that power to block women from having choices that they might otherwise have. It is true in the states, it is also true in Congress."

"Democrats did not make this stuff up," Maddow said. "This is not a liberal plot to make it sound like Republican's are prioritizing attacking women's access to health care and abortion. They really are. I could do a segment like this pretty much every other day."
