Vice President Joe Biden painted a bleak picture of a Mitt Romney presidency Wednesday at a gathering of black media professionals, the Huffington Post reports.
"Imagine what the Supreme Court will look like after three years of a Romney presidency," Biden said in a speech at the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ) convention in New Orleans. "Imagine what it will mean for traditional civil rights, women's rights and so much more."
Biden called the Republican presidential challenger "an honorable man," but he criticized his support of his party's plan to cut taxes for the wealthy, which he said would cut Medicare and Medicaid by $810 billion.
There's only one group of people who hasn't had to give up anything," Biden said of America's wealthy. "This is about more than the economy - it's about who the hell we are."
