Four U.S. Marines were arrested Sunday after allegedly beating a gay man unconscious outside a Long Island, Calif. bar, according to local media reports.

"I remember blacking out," the victim, who asked not to be named, told CBS Los Angeles on Tuesday. "All I remember is being put next to the curb..."

The victim's boyfriend reportedly witnessed the fray and jumped to his defense until police arrived. Police said the assailants may face hate crime charges.
