A Republican gubernatorial candidate in Washington state may have recently become the first U.S. politician to ever dance to "Gangnam Style" in public while spanking himself.

When Washington state Attorney General Rob McKenna's wife tweeted video on Tuesday of her husband awkwardly dancing to Psy's hit synth pop song on Global Korean Day Celebration at the International District Community Center, she probably hoped that it would give him an edge with young voters.

"12-year-old son just offered me $10 never to do this again," Marilyn McKenna wrote. "He’s no fun."

According to the video description, the "[a]udience went crazy. What a way to get connected with Korean American community. Students requested to take photos with him after the dance."

After seeing the video, KING-TV political editor Robert Mak wondered on Twitter, "Where does campaign go from here?"

"According to the McKenna children it can only go up from here!" Marilyn McKenna replied in a tweet.

The lastest Survey USA poll showed that McKenna was trailing Democratic Rep. Jay Inslee by 6 points. But Inslee only led by 2 points among 18-34 year olds.
