Vandals defaced the campaign headquarters of Wayne Powell, Rep. Eric Cantor's (R-VA) Democratic challenger, spray-painting "Baby Killer" on the building and writing "Nigger Lover" on a sign outside another campaign office.

According to the Huffington Post, which received a tip about the story and confirmed it with Powell's campaign, the vandalism took place sometime Friday night, the final weekend of the 2012 election season. Campaign staff alerted local police in Midlothian and Henrico, where the incidents took place, though there are currently no leads.

Powell or someone manning his campaign's Twitter accounted posted a picture of the vandalism Saturday afternoon.

Powell is running to unseat Cantor, the sitting House Majority Leader, who has served in Congress since 2002. The race is not considered competitive, with Cantor heavily favored to win reelection. Republicans have held the seat since 1971.
