The winner of 2012's "Miss Universe" pageant, put on by Republican real estate mogul Donald Trump, told the hosts of "Fox & Friends" on Thursday morning that she's in favor of legalizing marijuana for medical uses, but nothing more.
"I think that for medical purposes, it is okay," Olivia Culpo said. "I don't think it's good for recreational purposes. There are just too many bad habits that go with the drug."
"Yeah," Fox News personality Steve Doocy seconded. "When people get all potted up."
The 20-year-old Rhode Island native added that she's always admired television hosts and encouraged the "Fox & Friends" hosts to try on her "Miss Universe" crown. Doocy was the first to oblige, much to the amusement of co-host Brian Kilmeade.
A commanding super-majority of the American public -- 73 percent -- agree with Culpo that medical marijuana should be legalized, according to a Reason-Rupe poll taken in November. Just 48 percent said marijuana should be legalized for adult recreational use.
