On his program on Thursday night, Glenn Beck illustrated his views on politics and freedom in America -- literally.
Creating a spectrum of the "scale of freedom," he argued that "People are fleeing the parties. And they are standing somewhere in-between."
On Beck's spectrum, the Democratic Party stands close to "total government," which includes fascism, communism, totalitarianism, and the "theocratic state." The GOP stands slightly farther away from government control. The Constitution is fairly close to total anarchy and freedom, while the tea party, he goes on, lies somewhere between the apparently broad gap between the GOP and the Constitution.
A faction of Occupy Wall Street -- "the on-the-edge libertarians that want the country to burn down," or "nutjobs" as he calls them -- sits roughly around the Articles of Confederation and the Constitution.
The media, Hollywood, and "the real Occupy Wall Street," sit "closer to the communists" than the Democratic party.
